Why take it out on us?

Most people think that working in a kitchen and being a hostess are easy. Well they are wrong they are two different jobs that both are difficult. The main thing is you have to please people in both jobs. Lack of effort in these jobs can result in a big angry mob of people. When working outside of the kitchen you work up close with the angry, rude and snotty people and when you are inside the kitchen you do not have to deal with the snotty, angry, and rude people. One thing that i can not stand is when people send back their food because, they are missing a slice of cheese so, you know what we do we stick it on another plate for them. Most of the time they tend to call us out and take our anger out on us directly.

  1. I do agree that there are poeple out there who would be rude to you if they are in bad moods. The popele who are in bad moods though do not always take it out on the hostess. most people in the world have more respect to not take it out on others because they know it is no one elses fault for there bad mood. Work can get hard because of people but that is not the biggest reason why work is hard! think about the bigger things in your work place that can go wrond other then just the people, maybe your co workers. you are around them more then you are around that one person who is in a bad mood!

  2. I completely agree with Courtney on customers taking out there personal emotions on hostesses and hosts. As a waiter , myself i understand where you are coming from. It's like they try to blame the waiter or waitress for another person's mistake. I remember countless people yelling at me, and it is stressful because you cannot say anything back to them. This lead me to quit that job.
